"Do you feel like sometimes you have to choose between either functional or stylish family living? With products that are only destined for a short phase or stage? And that decor is either aimed at children or adults, with little cross over in between? I felt the same way."
I am Susie and my idea for Totter + Tumble® really started a long time ago when we were soon to be parents with our eldest - Ellie. Anxious to provide the safest home for her, we researched all we could to make sure we had the best products. As babies tend to spend a lot of time on the floor, with us down with them, finding practical protection for our hard floors was an obvious concern.
Fast forward a few years, with an active toddler and a second child on the way, we could not face having to deal with the garish jigsaw puzzle style foam mat any longer. So when faced with reinstating the impractical puzzle pieces in our newly decorated home or risk having a rug, we thought there must be a better solution.... There wasn't!
From this desire to find practical yet stylish flooring, Totter + Tumble was formed on the following four founding principles: simple, stylish, supportive, safe.
Enjoy playing, not washing.
Our easy care, antibacterial mats just need a wipe down with a gentle cleaning solution and cloth. No need to scrape mushed breadsticks, scrub milk or instead limit food and play to the table. Take delight in every inch of your space without worry. No gimmicks - just straight forward practical playmats that are built to last.
A quiet style.
Our playmats have subtle patterns, designed to complement your interior style. We believe play spaces should encourage creativity, letting nature and chosen toys add colour stimulus without overwhelming the senses with garish patterns. And when the children go to bed and friends come over, you can still enjoy your home too.

An extra pair of hands.
As our little ones learn to sit, crawl, walk and fly, we sometimes feel we need a million hands to catch them as they inevitably totter and tumble. Our playmats offer cushioning for your little ones as they explore, learn and play, yet designed so neither you or your little ones will feel the floor underneath either. The memory foam factor removes the wobble issue, instead providing support to strengthening joints. It's why our Totter + Tumblers say they are brilliant for pilates and yoga too.

From one parent to another, safety is paramount to us, which is why we scoured the globe to find the best manufacturer with the same commitment. Our products are responsibly manufactured in South Korea and are independently tested by the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification organisation.
They are made from a non-toxic PVC memory foam, akin to medical grade, and do not contain BPA, phthalates, lead, latex, formamide, formaldehyde, EVA or flame retardants. They have been tested to British and European Toy Standards EN71 and have even passed the same level of testing as a teething toy!
