Trends | Earthed + Home Comfort

Welcome to a closer look at the AW23 Totter + Tumble Ikat collection

Inspired by textural Ikat woven textiles, our first Ikat designs, created in-house, have the aesthetic of a rug alongside the practical features of a playmat.

Here we take a look at first reversible duo The Tali and The Odissi, exploring current interior trends they complement.

The Tali design combines a gradient Ikat design with muted, neutrals colours of tan and almond that sit subtly in the space it is unrolled in. This soft design has a natural, earthy feel, ideal for the Earthed trend, where from-the-ground tones, tactile materials and traditional crafts are key.

Features such as raw plaster, wood tones, textural fabrics and terracotta tiles are key for this trend. Decorative accessories have an artisanal feel, often one-of-a-kind or made in small batches. Shell light pendants, wall art made from antique fabrics and handmade children's toys are just a few ideas.

The Odissi design combines a feathered, diamond Ikat design, with serene shades of mineral green and warm white-grey. This timeless design has a subtle vibe that is versatile in the home. It pairs up perfectly with the Home Comfort trend, where there is a focus on creating a mindful, rejuvenating home that prioritises wellness for everyone.

A muted colour palette is key for this home-retreat trend alongside considered items, ensuring there is minimal clutter for simpler cleaning and a healthier environment. Plump furniture is prioritised for ultimate comfort and organic materials and shapes are key for textiles and decorative accessories.
